Are We Having Fun Yet? How to Make Science Fun for
Elementary Students (& Their Teachers) Here is information about a recently-held all-day training workshop. To be notified when this is held again, please email us with your contact information. This all-day training workshop was held Wednesday, March 24, 2004 at the NJ Museum of Agriculture on the Cook College campus of Rutgers University in North Brunswick, NJ. Learn hands-on science activities and methods. Aimed at teachers and other educators working with youth grades 3-7. Cost is only $50, which includes curriculum, morning refreshments, and lunch! The workshop is sponsored by Rutgers Cooperative Extension Department of 4-H Youth Development, a NJ Department of Education Professional Development Provider. Program activities support the NJ Core Curriculum Content Standards. Register no later than March 10 (space is limited first-come, first-served!). Hundreds of teachers, Extension staff, and others have been trained to use the hands-on Science Discovery Series activities to improve science education and youth development, through a variety of highly-evaluated professional development opportunities such as:
